Living so much of my life through a screen just makes me value the analog even more
The tactile satisfaction of winding a film camera, the liberating sensation of letting a pencil communicate your thoughts on paper, the excitement of opening a brand-new sealed CD, the hours lost browsing towering bookshelves
I think it’s incredibly sad how far removed we have become from all of these physical experiences
It almost feels like our senses have been entirely hijacked to favor the sterile & flat experience of tapping a screen
Is it even worth fighting against this? Is the analog merely a nostalgic idea destined to die anyways?
Not sure what the answer to those questions is but I will continue to chase those raw, intimate sensations that bring my senses to life outside this little screen
