On Identity

1 min read

We enjoy certain music that show others how we see the world and what moves us.

We enjoy dressing in ways that express who we are and what we care about.

We appreciate art that feels personal, reflecting our experiences and how we understand life.

The problem with fixating on these traits as rigid parts of our identity is that we stop stretching our minds, closing ourselves off to new ideas, experiences, and perspectives. We cling so tightly to what we've rooted as our identity that we become resistant to change and limit our own growth.

The remedy is a fluid identity—free to evolve, unshaken by others, and open to the infinite possibilities of becoming.
